Galaxy Quiz Answers

Here are the answers I have come up with:

1. Scale - the distance of the galaxy is not to scale. In fact, it would not even fit in my state if they were to distance scale.

2. The Sun is way too small to be to scale with the planets. This was a limitation of the volume size of the balloon we had for the Sun.

3. The asteroid belt is not portrayed.

4. The rings around Saturn are not portrayed.

5. The rings around Uranus are not portrayed.

6. Pluto is portrayed as a planet. This was an indicator of the age of the science reference material we were using and the relative recency of the declassifying of Pluto as a planet.

Extra. The planets are not to scale with each other. We could not get the small planets small enough and the large planets large enough due to the limitations of the balloons.
